Karina emphasized that KAI Commuter did not carry out layoffs as has been circulating, because it has rules and procedures related to employment that still refer to labor regulations.
“As an initial stage, of course we are coordinating with management partners for front liner officers,” said Karina in her statement, Thursday (27/11).
Karina said that all officers in the field are always directed to carry out SOPs properly so that service to users is maintained.
Karina also reiterated that there would be no dismissal of front line officers as was widely discussed on social media.
“The partners are still carrying out internal evaluations to see more clearly the conditions that occurred,” he said.
Karina said that KAI Commuter will carry out a thorough evaluation so that similar situations can be prevented in the future.
Karina also reminded that personal items left on the commuter line are the user’s responsibility. Therefore, KAI Commuter urges all users to take good care of and pay attention to their belongings.

Karina said that the collection of left behind items was carried out following applicable procedures. However, in principle, KAI Commuter still invites all commuter line users to ensure that their luggage is safe and not left behind.
“Baggage is the customer’s responsibility,” concluded Karina.

The issue of KRL officers being fired started with a post by a KRL user named Anita who admitted that she had lost her Tuku tumbler.
Through the Threads account @anitadwdl, he wrote the chronology of the loss of the Tuku tumbler and accused the officers of being irresponsible.
In her explanation, Anita admitted that she forgot and left her bag on the Commuter Line train on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung route.
After reporting to security officers at Rawa Buntu Station, Anita’s bag was found in the women’s carriage.
The officer sent a photo of the condition of the bag and its contents, including the Tuku tumbler in question.
Due to procedural matters, the bag must be picked up at Rangkasbitung Station.
When Anita picked up the bag the next day with her husband, the Tuku tumbler was gone.
He then wrote about his disappointment over the KRL officers’ negligence until it finally went viral.
On the other hand, a KRL officer named Argi clarified via Threads that he received the bag from another officer and placed it in the guard room because the station was busy.
He admitted that he did not have time to check the contents of the bag.
Argi has also taken the initiative to offer to replace Tuku’s tumbler, but Anita and her husband refused and continued to take this case to social media.
In a message sent to Anita’s husband, Argi revealed that he was not the perpetrator who took the tumbler and was devastated because his only source of income disappeared after the upload went viral.
