and the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority responded to the Turkish judiciary’s arrest warrant for the Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu
as well as other top Israeli officials.
Hamas welcomed the arrest warrant and praised Türkiye’s position.
“This commendable step reflects the true position of the Turkish people and leadership in upholding justice, humanity and the bonds of brotherhood that unite them with the oppressed Palestinian people, who are facing one of the most brutal wars in modern history at the hands of the fascist occupation leaders,” said an official Hamas statement, quoted

Hamas then called on world governments and judicial bodies to issue legal warrants to arrest Israeli leaders wherever they are.
“And bring them to justice to hold them accountable for their crimes against humanity,” they continued.
In a separate statement, the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the arrest warrant brought justice for the people of Gaza.
“This bold legal action is a victory for the principles of justice and a manifestation of the will of free countries and leaders to reject the policy of impunity that some countries have imposed on Israel,” according to the Palestinian Foreign Ministry.
They also emphasized that this step confirms the universality of jurisdiction in dealing with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The steps taken by the Turkish judiciary, continued the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reflect the legal and moral attitude of Israel’s brutal actions.
“The Turkish judiciary reflects a progressive legal and moral stance and sends a clear message that those who commit crimes against the Palestinian people will not escape accountability, regardless of their position,” according to the Palestinian Foreign Ministry.
The Istanbul Prosecutor General’s Office previously issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and 36 other Israeli officials. They are accused of committing genocide, crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, and piracy and capturing activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) fleet.
Those included in the arrest warrant include Netanyahu;Israeli Minister of Defense, Israel Katz;Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir;to Military Commander Eyal Zamir.
The arrest warrant comes at a time when relations between Türkiye and Israel are at their lowest point since Zionist forces carried out aggression in Palestine.
As a result of this brutal aggression, Türkiye cut off economic ties with Israel and banned airlines from that country from passing through its airspace.
Türkiye has always been vocal in its rejection and condemnation of Israeli aggression in Gaza. This latest action increasingly shows Ankara’s willingness to lead a legal and diplomatic campaign against Tel Aviv on the world stage.
