“Yes, in Buol Regency there are 37 heads of families (KK) or 79 people affected by the flood,” said Head of Central Sulawesi BPBD, Akris Fattah Yunus, Monday (17/11).
According to the BPBD, the flood in Baturaja Village, Paleleh District, Buol Regency was triggered by heavy rain since Saturday (11/15) so that the river water overflowed.

“The high intensity of rain triggers the overflow of small rivers which are unable to withstand water discharge from the mountains,” he said.
Meanwhile, said Akris, the Buol BPBD team is still collecting data on residents affected by the flood.
A similar thing also happened in Tolitoli Regency, which was flooded after heavy rain accompanied by strong winds since Saturday.As a result, as many as seven houses belonging to residents had their roofs damaged due to being blown away by the wind.
“The local BPBD noted that seven buildings were damaged, but there were no casualties or displacement,” he said.
Akris said that his party continues to monitor disaster and weather-affected locations that have the potential for further disasters.
“We ensure that the situation in Buol and Tolitoli is now conducive,” he said.
