Two regional heads in Indonesia were caught in a sting operation (OTT) carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (

The two regional heads come from different provinces.They include the Governor of Riau Abdul Wahid and the Regent of Ponorogo Sugiri Sancoko.

Abdul Wahid was arrested first on Monday (3/11).He was then named a suspect in the alleged extortion case after undergoing an intensive post-OTT examination.
From this operation, the KPK arrested a total of 10 people.They include the Governor of Riau Abdul Wahid, Head of the PUPR-PKPP Service Muhammad Arief Setiawan, Secretary of the PUPR-PKPP Service Ferry Yunanda, and Tata Maulana, who is known to be Abdul Wahid’s confidant.
Apart from that, another person named Dani M. Nursalam who served as Expert Staff for the Governor of Riau also surrendered himself on Tuesday (4/11) evening.
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also confiscated a sum of money in rupiah denominations, United States dollars and pounds sterling with a total equivalent to IDR 1.6 billion.
After a few days, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) carried out an OTT and arrested Regent Sugiri Sancoko on Friday (7/11) evening.A total of 13 people were arrested in the OTT.
“In the arrest activity in the Ponorogo area, until Friday evening, the team succeeded in apprehending 13 people,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo, in a written statement, Saturday (8/11).
A total of seven of them, including the Regent of Ponorogo, will arrive at the KPK office on Saturday morning.
This OTT is said to be related to transfers and position promotions.However, until now, there is no further information regarding the detailed chronology, including evidence and the parties arrested.
