Uzbekistan suffered a narrow defeat and Saudi Arabia secured victory in the group stage match of the 2025 U-17 World Cup.

However, Ireland was able to equalize 13 minutes later through a goal scored by Grady McDonell.Ireland was then able to secure three points after Michael Noonan found the net against Uzbekistan which made the score change to 2-1.
This defeat means that Uzbekistan still has to fight to qualify for the round of 32 of the 2025 U-17 World Cup. Uzbekistan currently occupies second place in Group J with a collection of three points.
In another match, Saudi Arabia managed to secure its first three points after winning 3-2 over New Zealand in the second Group L match of the 2025 U-17 World Cup at Aspire Zone field seven.
Saudi Arabia won in a match marked by five goals with a score of 3-2.The three points achieved helped maintain hopes of qualifying for the next phase.
Saudi Arabia’s three goals were scored by Abdulrahman Sufyani in the second minute, Sabri Dahai 58, and Thari Saeed 90+1.Meanwhile, two goals from New Zealand were scored by Matias Ignacio (55′) and Jack Phillip (83′).
