Ukraine’s massive attack campaign on Russian energy facilities began in earnest in early 2024. Since August this year, Kyiv has stepped up efforts in what Ukraine’s sanctions commissioner, Vladyslav Vlasiuk, called “long-term sanctions”, targeting Russia’s financial lifelines.
