asked workers in the country to patiently wait for the final decision

) which will be announced in two weeks, to be precise on November 21 2025.
According to him, currently discussions are still ongoing with workers and the wage council.There has been no final decision regarding the increase rate and its formulation.
“We continue to carry out social dialogue, getting input from fellow trade unionists, labor unions and from Apindo business friends. Just wait,” said Yassierli in his office, Wednesday (12/11).

He previously said the opportunity to change the 2026 UMP calculation formula was very open because it was deemed no longer relevant to current conditions.
Currently, the basic UMP calculation formula is contained in Government Regulation (PP) Number 51 of 2023. This regulation is used to formulate the 2024 and 2025 UMP.
“UMP progress, we are preparing the regulations. It could change (the rules). We are open to opportunities (to change the rules),” said Yassierli in a media talk at the Ministry of Manpower Building, Tuesday (28/10).
Yassierli targets that the UMP can be announced on time on November 21 2025. This means that before that the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) must have been completed.
“We are targeting the Permenaker before November 21. That’s the provincial announcement on November 21,” he stressed.
This year, the government decided to increase the UMP by a maximum of 6.5 percent.This is stated in the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 16 of 2024.
This increase applies simultaneously in all provinces and districts/cities in Indonesia, which will take effect on January 1 2025.
