related to shootings on Jewish Remembrance Day at Bondi Beach, Sydney.
Netanyahu previously said the Australian government’s policy of recognizing Palestine provided fuel for acts of anti-semitism in the country.Saul calls this statement disgusting.
“I find it disgusting that the Israeli PM linked Australia’s principled support for a Palestinian State to yesterday’s terrorist attack in Bondi,” he said in X.

Saul then said, “Australia has taken extensive steps to prevent anti-semitism.”
In a post on the official account of the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, it was stated that Netanyahu blamed Australia for their policies regarding Palestine.
“I wrote: Your call for a Palestinian state is fueling the flames of anti-Semitism. It rewards Hamas terrorists. It emboldens those who threaten Australian Jews and encourages the hatred of Jews that now runs rampant on your streets,” the account wrote.
Netanyahu made such comments while attending the master agreement signing ceremony in Dimona on Sunday.
On that occasion, he said that several months ago he had sent a letter to the Australian Prime Minister, Antony Albanese.
“I say that their policies exacerbate anti-Semitic sentiment. They encourage hatred of Jews which is now rampant in their streets,” said Netanyahu, quoted by the government’s official website.
Furthermore, Netanyahu said anti-semitism is a weakness and leaders must replace weakness with strength in facing it.
“That doesn’t happen in Australia, and something terrible happened there today, cold-blooded murder,” said the Israeli PM.
