In detail, in Aceh it was reported that there were 359 deaths, in North Sumatra 329 deaths were recorded, and in West Sumatra there were 226 deaths.
“There are still 389 people on the SAR team’s wanted list,” said Muhari.
There were 94 missing victims in Aceh, 82 in North Sumatra, and 213 in West Sumatra.
Muhari said the number of victims reported missing had decreased because they were found safe.
The government has not yet designated floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra as national disasters, despite many calls from various parties.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK), Pratikno, said that although it has not been declared a national disaster, the handling of the Sumatra disaster has been carried out nationally.
Pratikno explained that all ministries/institutions had been ordered by President Prabowo to mobilize maximum resources.
“All ministries/institutions were ordered by the President, including the TNI-Polri, BNPB and all components to mobilize their resources as fully as possible to deal with the disaster in Sumatra. So once again the handling is really full force handling nationally,” said Pratikno at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Wednesday (3/12).
