The Corruption Eradication Commission has assigned suspect status to the Governor of Riau, Abdul Wahid, on charges of extortion.
The KPK stated that Abdul Wahid asked for a share of five percent or around seven billion rupiah for projects at the PUPR Service.
Meanwhile, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian will deactivate Abdul Wahid as Governor of Riau.
