Deputy Minister of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Eddy O.S.Hiariej stated that the new Criminal Procedure Code regulates the Victim Endowment Fund as a form of state presence in protecting victims, especially in providing restitution or compensation for losses experienced by victims if the perpetrator cannot provide compensation.Apart from that, Eddy also stated that the KUHAP which was just passed on Tuesday afternoon (18/11) provides strengthening for women, the elderly and people with disabilities.
