The devastating flood disaster in the north of Sumatra Island cannot be separated from tropical storms or cyclones that occurred in the Malacca Strait.According to BMKG and weather satellite monitoring, there are at least two tropical storms surrounding the area, namely Cyclone Senyar and Koto.These two storms triggered flooding in a number of Southeast Asian countries, including the northern part of Sumatra Island.
