Hafitar mingled with other potential passengers, the majority of whom were commuter workers.His movements are not like a normal elementary school kid.Hafitar instead looks like an adult worker who usually commutes by KRL.
Head of the Duren Sawit District Education Implementation Unit (Kasatlak), Farida Farhah, explained that at the beginning the viral elementary school boy had to travel long distances to school.
According to him, the boy named Hafitar previously lived with his mother in Kampung Sumur, Klender, not far from the school.
Hafitar’s life changed when his father died and his mother got a job as a household assistant (ART) in the Tangerang area.
“His father died five years ago, so his mother had to work. She only got that job last September. Because of them

According to Farida, at the start of the move, her mother was still taking Hafitar on the KRL every day.
Hafitar was only released alone after the mother felt that her child was independent enough and understood his travel route.Like other passengers, Hafitar was provided with a Commuter Line and JakLingko card.
Even though he let Hafitar go, the mother is said to have coordinated with officers from Parung Panjang Station, Tanah Abang, to Buaran.
But the long round trip made the school worried.Farida revealed that long before this story went viral, her party had suggested changing schools in the second semester, but Hafitar refused because he felt comfortable.
“He doesn’t want to change schools. He says the teachers are good, his friends too. His mother is also comfortable with the parent environment here,” he said.
Not only that, a number of teachers and parents even offered Hafitar temporary accommodation.However, the mother always rejected the offer.
“After it went viral, we took the initiative to look after Hafitar together. Last Sunday he finally agreed to stay at the house of one of his school friends,” said Farida.
The transfer was carried out after long discussions with Hafitar’s parents and the host family.Farida also explained that Hafitar is now picked up by his friend’s family every day.
