A man who went viral on social media because he claimed to be the son of a member

In a video made on Sunday (23/11), the man, who did not want to give his name, admitted that he had defamed the National Police.He emphasized that the statement in the previously viral video was not true.
“I want to apologize to the National Police institution for tarnishing the good name of the National Police,” he said in a video statement.

The man clarified that he was not the son of a member of Propam Polda Metro Jaya.The car he used was not evidence of a case.
“I was forced to do this because I received pressure and intimidation from
debt collector
,” he added.
Previously, Polda Metro Jaya revealed that they would ask for information from a man who claimed to be the son of a member of the Propam Division and was carrying a car which was considered evidence.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto said this in-depth investigation was necessary because what the man said then went viral on social media did not match reality.
“Currently the person concerned is in Yogyakarta, of course they have to be asked for information on what the statement in question is and it is certain that the vehicle is not evidence,” said Budi when confirmed via written message, Sunday (23/11).
Budi emphasized that the man in question had no relationship with any of the members who worked in the Propam section of Polda Metro Jaya.He also explained that the status of the vehicle that the man claimed as evidence in a case was not true.
“It is not true that the parents concerned are members of Propam. The vehicle in question has the status of a credit transfer, not a car as evidence and currently we are still investigating what the intention of the person concerned is in conveying this,” he stressed.
