.With this update, users can read WhatsApp messages easily without having to take their cellphone out of their pocket.
“Today, we announced a major upgrade for your smartwatch, the new WhatsApp application for Apple Watch. This new experience will help you follow chats without needing to take out your iPhone,” wrote WhatsApp in a statement, Tuesday (4/11).

Apart from reading and responding to messages, WhatsApp on Apple Watch supports several features, such as phone notifications that allow users to see who is calling without checking their iPhone.
Then, users can also read messages in full, even very long messages.Users can also record and send voice messages directly from Apple Watch.
Apart from that, users can also give emoji reactions to messages;view images and stickers directly on Apple Watch;as well as seeing more chat history on the screen when reading messages.
“This is just the beginning to make WhatsApp on Apple Watch a better experience,” WhatsApp said.
WhatsApp insists private messages and calls on its platform are protected with end-to-end encryption.
Please note, the WhatsApp Apple Watch app requires an Apple Watch Series 4 or later device, with watchOS 10 or later.
The WhatsApp application for smartwatch devices is not the first time it has been released.WearOS has been enjoying this app since July 2023.
At launch, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the WhatsApp application for Wear OS allows users to start new conversations, reply to messages and make VoIP calls without needing to carry a connected cellphone, as quoted by TechCrunch.
