Recently there has been tension after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi mentioned Taiwan.
Beijing was annoyed because the newly appointed PM said on November 7 that Tokyo could deploy the Japanese Self-Defense Forces if China attempted an invasion of Taiwan.
At that time, Takaichi said that China’s use of military force against Taiwan could “give rise to a situation that threatens Japan’s survival”.

Meanwhile, Takaichi was reluctant to withdraw his statement.China, which was extremely furious, finally issued a ban on its citizens traveling to Japan.
Beijing also warned Chinese citizens in Japan to be careful and avoid large crowds.Beijing also decided to stop imports of seafood and broadcasts of Japanese anime.
“In this situation, there will be no market for Japanese marine products, even if they enter China,” said Mao Ning.
Taiwan is an area that Beijing considers part of China.The Taiwan issue has always been considered a non-negotiable red line.
Beijing intends to reunite Taiwan with military force if necessary.Taiwan itself currently has its own government and wants independence from China.
From China’s perspective, recognition of Beijing’s position on Taiwan is fundamental to establishing diplomatic relations with China.Beijing opposes any form of military assistance, military commitments or formal exchanges with Taiwan by other countries.
