More than half of the target Indonesian contingent on
SEA Games 2025
achieved after collecting 43 gold medals on the fifth day of implementation, Sunday (14/12).
Since the start, Indonesia has targeted to win 80 gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games. This target is expected to bring Indonesia to the top three in the SEA Games medal standings.
Now half of that big target has been achieved.As of the fifth day of the 2025 SEA Games since the opening on Tuesday (9/12), the Red and White Team has collected 43 gold medals.

This achievement cannot be separated from the 12 gold medals that Indonesia won on the fifth day.Athletics contributed the most gold today, with four gold coins.
The four gold medals from athletics were won by Hendro Yap Kim Lung (men’s 20 km road), Violine Intan Puspita (women’s 20 km road), Robi Syianturi (men’s marathon), and Odekta Eliva Naibaho (women’s marathon).
Before winning gold from athletics, Indonesia first received a gold medal through Edgar Xavier Marvelo (wushu/changquan, daoushu, & gunshu).
There were also gold donations from men’s team time trial cycling, men’s team shooting in the 10m air pistol event, Alwi Farhan badminton/men’s singles), Sabar/Reza (badminton/men’s doubles), men’s team pencak silat arts event, and Aero Sutan Aswar (men’s jetski/endurance open).
Finally, the skateboarding branch recorded an achievement with a gold medal from Basral Graito in the men’s street event.
In total, the Indonesian contingent collected 43 gold, 56 silver and 53 bronze medals.This achievement makes Indonesia firmly in second place in the 2025 SEA Games medal standings. Indonesia is 9 gold medals ahead of Vietnam who is in third place.
