The Indonesian men’s badminton team team advanced to the final round
SEA Games 2025
after beating Singapore 3-1, Monday (8/12).
Alwi Farhan lost 1-2 to Loh Kean Yew with a score of 15-21, 21-14, 8-21, then equalized to 1-1 through the men’s doubles Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Reza Pahlevi with a score of 2-1.
Zaki Ubaidillah then put Indonesia ahead 2-1.Finally, the doubles of Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana ensured their ticket to the semifinals.

Sabar said he was nervous at the start of the match.However, as the atmosphere of the game progressed, he and Reza were able to balance and rise to victory.
“This is our first multi-event debut, so we are definitely very happy. The young Singaporean players also performed extraordinary, but in the third game we were more initiative and aggressive,” said Sabar.
“At the start of the match we were still adapting. In the second game we lost focus, but in the third game we were able to get in straight from the start and maintain the rhythm until the end,” added Reza.
For Leo, being the deciding factor for Indonesia to reach the final was very enjoyable.Leo was also happy, because the men’s team team was able to catch up with the women’s team team which had already won a ticket to the final.
“Whoever the opponent is, we are positive and optimistic that we can give our best. The Indonesian team must prepare the best because in the team team anything can happen,” said Leo.
The men’s and women’s team finals will take place on Wednesday (10/12) or the day after the opening ceremony of the 2025 SEA Games Thailand on Tuesday (9/12).
