Xiaomi officially announced that its newest flagship cellphone,
Xiaomi 17 Ultra
, will launch in China this week.
Xiaomi previously signaled the launch last week.The company confirmed the release date and also showed the design and color choices that will be offered.

According to GSM Arena, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be launched in China on December 25, as confirmed by the company in a post on Weibo.The brand also shared the back design and color options of the phone.
The phone will be available in three colors, including a new Starry Green option.Based on the teaser released, this cellphone will also be sold in white and black.
The teaser also confirms that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be equipped with a triple-lens rear camera system.The Starry Green model has mineral particles on the back panel to give it a metallic finish.
This cellphone is said to have a flat screen, separate volume buttons, and a slim body design with a thickness of only 8.29 mm.
This design choice is Xiaomi’s focus on a premium appearance as well as high-end user comfort.
In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the latest generation processor which is predicted to bring a significant jump in performance and power efficiency.
The presence of this chipset places the Xiaomi 17 Ultra as one of the candidates for the most powerful Android cellphone when it is launched.
The camera sector is also a major highlight.The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to feature a 1-inch rear main sensor, combined with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and upgraded Leica optics.
This combination is able to provide professional-class photography quality, both for close-up shooting and long-range zoom.
This phone is also expected to be released globally in the coming months.
