received a lot of assistance from the Patriot air defense system made in the United States, in the midst of the war with Russia.
Zelensky said the Patriot air defense system is the most effective weapon against Russian missiles, which have been used to kill thousands of people in the Russia and Ukraine wars.

“More Patriots are now in Ukraine and are being operated,” Zelensky wrote on social media on Sunday (2/11).
“Of course more systems are needed to protect key infrastructure locations and our cities throughout our country,” he added.
Zelensky had previously urged Western partners to provide more Patriot air defense systems But production limitations and the need to maintain reserve stocks meant deliveries were late.
NATO continues to discuss routine deliveries of large arms packages to Ukraine.
Meanwhile European allies and Canada buy most of the equipment from the US, which has a larger military stockpile and more effective weapons.
US President Donald Trump’s administration did not provide arms reserves to Ukraine as quickly as his predecessor, Joe Biden, did.
