officially elected Mayor of New York on Tuesday (4/11).An interesting fact, Zohran Mamdani is a big Arsenal fan.
Mamdani made history as the first Muslim mayor and the first of South Asian descent to lead the largest city in the United States.At 34 years old, Mamdani is also the youngest mayor in more than a century.
Born in Kampala, Uganda, in 1991, Mamdani is the son of renowned academic Mahmood Mamdani and Oscar-nominated director Mira Nair.When he was seven years old, he moved to New York after his father became a professor at Columbia University.

Through this step, Mamdani succeeded in connecting the two things he loves, namely football and social justice.
